The car
About this car in Zurich
Above Schwyz, the car-free village of Stoos is reached by the steepest funicular in the world, whose cylindrical cabins tilt to stay level as they climb a gradient of up to 110 per cent. At the top there are family ski slopes and a ridge walk above the lakes. It is about an hour from Zurich.
The X7 carries seven to the valley station in comfort: winter tyres fitted, all-wheel drive, a 340 hp diesel six, and a 750-litre boot. The brown leather cabin is warm after a cold day.
Black paint.

- Over the Julier to St. Moritz (about 200 km from Zurich): The motorway to Chur, then the Julier pass, open all year, into the Engadine: in winter you need winter tyres, ideally with four-wheel drive.
Best months for this car
In November–March Zurich gets up to 7 snowy days a month: the all-wheel drive and ground clearance of an SUV make the difference.
