Paris rarely needs a car for the centre, but it is where many trips begin: a week of Fashion Week shows, a meeting at La Défense, a weekend that ends in Normandy or Champagne. With IsyLuxe you book the exact model you will drive, not an “or similar” category, and it is delivered where you need it: Charles de Gaulle or Orly, your hotel or your office. Choose a Porsche 911 Carrera GTS or GT3, a Ferrari 296 GTS or Roma Spider, a Lamborghini Huracán or Urus, a Mercedes-AMG G 63, a Range Rover, or a Mercedes V-Class for a group.

Discover Paris

Two practical points before driving in. Paris and the towns inside the A86 form a low-emission zone (ZFE): every car, foreign-registered ones included, needs a Crit’Air sticker ordered online in advance. Most of the city is limited to 30 km/h and the Périphérique to 50 km/h, and on-street parking costs visitors three times as much for heavy cars, most SUVs included. Outside the city it is a different story: the Chevreuse valley is forty minutes away, Fontainebleau and Giverny about an hour, Reims and the Loire châteaux two.

Demand peaks around the Fashion Weeks (January, late February to early March, June, late September to early October), Roland-Garros in late May and the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe on the first weekend of October: if your dates are fixed, book early to secure the model you want.

Driving a luxury car in Paris: what to know

  • The limit is 50 km/h on the Boulevard Périphérique and 30 on most Paris streets.
  • Some French cities run low-emission zones (ZFE) that require a Crit'Air sticker, foreign-registered cars included. The rules have changed several times: check the current status before driving into Paris or the Nice metropolitan area, and order the sticker only from the official site certificat-air.gouv.fr.
  • Speed limits: 130 km/h on autoroutes (110 in rain), 80 or 90 on two-way country roads depending on the département, 50 in town.
  • Most autoroutes are tolled (péage, cards accepted). Under the Loi Montagne, from 1 November to 31 March winter tyres or chains on board are compulsory in the mountain communes that apply it, the Savoie ski resorts included.
