The car
BMW 840i xDrive Convertible: a 333 hp 3.0-litre twin-turbo straight-six, all-wheel drive, automatic gearbox, 0-100 km/h in 5.2 seconds and a 250 km/h limited top speed. Four seats, a boot that takes two medium suitcases and a small one, and the fabric roof that makes the 8 Series Munich's open-top grand tourer.
It is the car for those who want to travel far with the roof down without the compromises of a pure sports car: Barcelona, Switzerland, the Côte d'Azur, with all-wheel drive that keeps things calm even in mountain rain.
