About this car in Zurich
Lake Thun lies below the peaks of the Bernese Oberland, and on its northern shore the castle of Oberhofen stands with its feet in the water and a tower rising from the lake, surrounded by gardens. Thun, with its own castle and covered bridges, is about an hour and a half from Zurich.
A compact, sporty SUV suits the lakeside roads. The Grecale GT drives all four wheels, its mild-hybrid turbo four gives 300 hp, and there is room for five people with three medium bags and a small one.

Drives from Zurich, the best months and when to book
Suited to this car
- The Rhine Falls and Stein am Rhein (about 45 km from Zurich): North towards Schaffhausen, the Rhine Falls at Neuhausen and then, along the river, the painted medieval town of Stein am Rhein.
- Over the Julier to St. Moritz (about 200 km from Zurich): The motorway to Chur, then the Julier pass, open all year, into the Engadine: in winter you need winter tyres, ideally with four-wheel drive.
Best months for this car
In November–March Zurich gets up to 7 snowy days a month: the all-wheel drive and ground clearance of an SUV make the difference.
