About this car in Courmayeur
At Valnontey, above Cogne, the Paradisia alpine botanical garden grows over a thousand species of mountain plants in the heart of the Gran Paradiso park, and the meadows around it are full of marmots in summer. It is a gentle family day, a little over an hour from Courmayeur.
Eight people fit in this black van, together with pushchairs, rucksacks and a picnic, and if the rear bench comes out the load floor reaches 4,300 litres. Its 190 hp two-litre diesel is thrifty on the long valley roads. Drive goes to the rear wheels and it has no snow tyres, so here it is strictly a June-to-October vehicle.
For winter, the 4MATIC V-Class versions are the ones to choose.
