Roman light favours the matte finishes. Against ochre plaster and travertine the Bianco Opalite Magno looks closer to a concept model than a production car, which is why it goes to weddings and shoots; the Nero Notte Magno, under a portico on Via Veneto or arriving at a private event on the Appia, is the most severe car of the group. The Verde Smeraldo is the one for launches and film events, and productions around Cinecittà ask for colour more often than for black.

For family stays the boot decides. The black G 63 with grey interior carries 640 litres and keeps its cabin from turning into a dark box during a July week; the MY25 takes five medium cases and two small ones, enough for a Fiumicino arrival or a cruise starting at Civitavecchia. The MY2026 is the newest build, with the current interior, so ask for it by name if that is the point. Sampietrini and villa gravel are irrelevant to all of them.
The ZTL of the centro storico and Trastevere is camera-controlled, with daytime and night-time sectors: give us your address and we confirm where the car can reach. Two hours east, the road up to Campo Imperatore on the Gran Sasso is where the four-wheel drive makes sense, and from 15 November to 15 April signed Apennine roads require winter tyres or chains. Handover at Fiumicino, Ciampino, Termini, Civitavecchia or your hotel, with insurance included and 24/7 support.
- Seven versions, 585 hp, five seats
- Matte white, matte black and emerald green
- Handover at Fiumicino, Ciampino, Termini or Civitavecchia

Driving a luxury car in Rome: what to know
- The ZTL of the centro storico, Trastevere and other central districts is camera-controlled, with daytime and night-time sectors. Fiumicino is about 30 km from the centre, Ciampino about 15.
- Most historic centres are ZTL limited-traffic zones watched by cameras: driving in without a permit means a fine that arrives weeks later. Give us the address and we will confirm where the car can reach.
- Speed limits: 130 km/h on motorways (110 in rain), 110 on dual carriageways, 90 on other roads outside towns, 50 in town.
- Motorways are tolled at barriers (cards and cash; Telepass lanes are for devices only). Outside built-up areas dipped headlights are compulsory by day too.
- From 15 November to 15 April, signed roads require winter tyres or chains on board — this covers most Alpine and Apennine roads.
Information checked in September 2026. Local rules change: always follow the road signs.
Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I drive the G 63 into the centre of Rome?
Not without a permit: the centro storico and Trastevere are camera-controlled ZTLs with day and night sectors. Give us the hotel address and we tell you where the car can go.
Can you deliver the car at Civitavecchia for a cruise?
Yes. Civitavecchia port, Fiumicino, Ciampino and Termini are all handover points; the MY25 or the 640-litre black car takes cruise luggage best.
Which G 63 for a wedding in Rome?
Usually the matte Bianco Opalite Magno, which photographs brightest against Roman stone, or the matte Nero Notte Magno for an evening ceremony.
How much does it cost to rent a Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG in Rome?
From €700 to €900 per day depending on the version (rate for 3–6 day rentals). The most affordable is the G Class 63 AMG – Nero Notte magno.
How much does it cost to rent a Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG for a month in Rome?
From €10,350 to €12,100 per month (30 days) depending on the version. Between 11 and 29 days the daily price sits between the 7-10 day rate and the monthly rate.
Which Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG versions can I rent in Rome?
7 versions are available: G Class 63 AMG – Nero Notte magno, G Class 63 AMG – Bianco Opalite magno, G63 AMG, G63 AMG MY25, G63 AMG MY2026, G63 AMG – NERO interni grigi and G63AMG – Verde Smeraldo.

Where is the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG delivered in Rome?
Wherever you like in Rome: hotel, villa, airport, port or any other address, for example Roma Fiumicino, Roma Ciampino and Roma Termini.
