The car
A 2025 Audi Q8 50 TDI in Mythos Black metallic: Ingolstadt's coupé SUV in the 286 hp mild-hybrid diesel version, with quattro all-wheel drive, automatic gearbox, 0-100 km/h in 6.3 seconds and a 245 km/h top speed. Five seats, a 605-litre boot and winter tyres fitted when needed.
This is the car we recommend for a business or family trip where range, comfort and space matter more than sprint times: from Berlin to the Bavarian Alps, Switzerland or the Côte d'Azur without frequent fuel stops, with four adults and luggage.

Drives from Catania, the best months and when to book
Suited to this car
- Etna from the south side (about 35 km from Catania): Via Nicolosi to the Rifugio Sapienza at about 1,900 metres, the base for going up to the craters.
- Northern Etna and its vineyards (about 60 km from Catania): From Linguaglossa the Mareneve road climbs through pine forest to Piano Provenzana, then the Etna wineries between Castiglione di Sicilia and Randazzo; in winter there can be snow.
Best months for this car
It hardly ever snows in Catania and lows stay above freezing: here you choose an SUV for space, luggage and comfort, not for traction.
