The car
BMW 4 Series Convertible with a 218 hp 2.0-litre diesel and automatic gearbox: 0-100 km/h in 6.5 seconds, a 230 km/h top speed and fuel economy that lets you do Berlin to Sylt without thinking about the tank. Four seats and a fabric roof that opens in seconds.
It is the most accessible convertible in the fleet and the one we recommend for a long holiday: a week in the Baltic coast, the tour of the lakes, a trip to the Côte d'Azur. It is not a supercar and does not try to be, but roof down on the coast road it is exactly what you need.

Drives from Malaga, the best months and when to book
Suited to this car
- The Montes de Málaga (about 25 km from Malaga): The old Colmenar road climbs in hairpins from the city into the Montes de Málaga natural park, past pine woods, viewpoints over the bay and traditional ventas.
- Nerja and Frigiliana (about 55 km from Malaga): East along the Axarquía coast to the Balcón de Europa and the caves of Nerja, then up to the white village of Frigiliana.
- The Sierra Nevada (about 165 km from Malaga): In winter, the motorway to Granada and then the climb to the Pradollano ski resort: in snow you need winter tyres or chains, so a four-wheel-drive SUV is best.
Best months for this car
The best time for a convertible in Malaga is April–June and August–November: highs of 20–31 °C and no more than 4 rainy days a month. In July highs exceed 31 °C: drop the roof in the morning and evening.
