The F8 is the end of a line: the last of the mid-engined V8 Ferraris before hybrid assistance arrived. 720 hp from the 3.9 twin-turbo, 2.9 seconds to 100 km/h, 340 km/h — and a folding hard top that turns it into a coupé when the weather over the Alps changes, which on a lake road in spring it does.
Milan is fourteen minutes of motorway from the ring road to open country, so the car spends very little of its rental in traffic if you plan the day properly: out early towards Lecco, lunch on the lake, back in the evening.
