Updated 17 October 2026

Winter first. A ski week in St. Anton, an hour and a quarter away, means daily drives to the Galzig and Rendl lifts and evenings in St. Christoph, and the black G 63 with grey interior, with 640 litres and a pale cabin, is the version for it. The MY2026, the newest, takes the road the whole length of the Ötztal to Obergurgl at nearly 1,900 metres, icy above Sölden for most of the season. Late flights into Kranebitten that end in St. Anton after dark suit the matte Nero Notte Magno; the matte Bianco Opalite Magno is the one for Zürs over the Flexen pass, where the first ski lift in Austria opened.

Summer changes the choice. The MY25 takes five medium cases and two small ones, room for rucksacks and a picnic on the way to the car-free Gaistal behind Leutasch, about forty-five minutes away. The Verde Smeraldo belongs in the Kaisertal behind Kufstein or up the Tux valley towards Hintertux, where the farms still make grey cheese.

Austrian motorways need a vignette, and the Brenner motorway charges a separate toll. Limits are 130 km/h on motorways, 100 outside towns and 50 in town, and from 1 November to 15 April winter tyres are compulsory whenever roads are wintry, so tell us your dates. Handover at Innsbruck Kranebitten, Munich airport, Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof or your hotel, with insurance and 24/7 support.
