About this car in Florence
Fiesole is eight kilometres from Florence and climbs through San Domenico with a series of short, tight bends, olive groves on one side and the city spread out below on the other. It is the shortest outing from the city, and the 2026 GT3 in Cartagena Yellow turns it into an event: at low speed the flat-six already sounds busy, and the view from the top at sunset is the best in Florence.
For a full day, aim further south-west. From Colle di Val d'Elsa the SR68 to Volterra is a run of open, flowing curves above the Pisan countryside, ending at an Etruscan town of alabaster perched over the cliffs. Here the 510 hp naturally aspirated engine, rear-wheel drive and the PDK gearbox can stretch a little, within the 90 km/h country-road limit, and the 200-litre boot is enough for a couple's overnight bags. Two seats only. The car wears winter tyres in the cold season, though its natural habitat is spring to autumn.
No GT3 belongs in the narrow streets inside the viali, which are a camera-controlled ZTL anyway. If your hotel is inside the zone, it can register the plate for its garage; otherwise we hand over the car at Firenze Peretola, Pisa Galileo Galilei or Santa Maria Novella, and the details are settled when you book.
